Last night I had fun crocheting this cozy cup sweater for my shop. Isn’t that a scrumptious color?!
I used “Sheep(ish)” yarn again by Vickie Howell in the beautiful shade of “Robin Egg(ish)”. If you missed my post last week highlighting the Autumn Sweater Drink Cozy in “Pumpkin(ish)”, here’s the low-down:
I buy this yarn at my local Joann store. It is a medium weight, roving yarn made of 70% acrylic and 30% wool and it feels amazing! All the colors in this line are vibrant with a lovely sheen to them. The care instructions are “machine wash cold, gentle cycle; dry flat.”
I decided to do a ruffle at the bottom and I think I like it better than the straight design I used earlier.
I am also crocheting up an order today and finishing up some boot cuffs and fingerless gloves this week. What creative goodies are you currently working on?
Joyfully,
Jackie

gorgeous colour
I love it too!
Love this version of your cup warmer. The added ruffle at the bottom gives it a little more girly feel 🙂 And the color is wonderful; calm and inviting. What do you mean by “roving yarn”? I’ve not heard that term before.
Hi Ginny, Thanks for your sweet note. I grabbed a link for you about roving yarn: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roving 🙂 Blessings!
Very nice. I think you made a great choice for the edges. It looks like fall is providing you with lots of creative inspiration.
Thanks, Deb! And I think you are right about Fall. And it’s almost time to start using the wood stove again! Is it still super hot there?
We are only at +15C right now but it is supposed to FREEZE tonight. I am currently rushing through building Ikea units so that I can go bundle some eco printed scarves because all my plant material may be go as of tomorrow morning. If this year is like last year we only have 25 days until snow sets in for the winter, Depressing. I am hoping we will see some of that “global warming” this year! LOL!
Sounds familiar! Only we are at 49F today. A little chillier than there. I think I crochet so much in the winter because it is therapy! 🙂
Sidenote: LOL about “global warming”! We joke about that here too.
pretty!
Thanks so much!
Love the color! I’ll have to check the Joanns here to see if they carry the yarn. I do most of my ordering online since I live out in the country a bit, but sometimes it’s just plain fun to browse in a store.
Thanks, Fogwood! 🙂 And I concur. You should go have some fun in the yarn section at Joanns. Loved looking at your recent posts just now. You have such a precious family. Blessings!
Very nice cuff!
I’ve heard so much about Joanns from my crafty friends on your side of the pond, I’d love to have a shop like that near me! I think I’d be broke though! 🙂
Thank you! And, yes, I think you would. Lol!
I LOVE what you have done. You should come show off your creativity starting at 8PM CST at Craft Frenzy Friday! http://obsessiveandcreative.blogspot.com/2013/09/craft-frenzy-friday-6.html It won’t be a party without you!
Thank you for your nice comment! I will be coming by soon. Blessings!
